*July 3rd*

It was a very HOT and HUMID day on Saturday! After doing some work outside and the kids riding bikes in the morning, we were all ready to come in to the house and cool off for a while. Thank God for air conditioning! I don't know what we would do without it. I do know that we would have some very cranky kids and in turn a very cranky momma:-)

We had decided that because of the possible threat of rain on the 4th, and us possibly not being able to go see fireworks with the kids, that we would put on our own little show on Saturday night. The kids usually go to bed around 7:00 so we had to keep them up late so that it would be dark enough for the fireworks to look good. After dinner, to help pass the time, we went out on Lake Marion for an evening boat ride. Once we came back it was shower time and then time for Daddy's show of fireworks.

They ended up to be pretty neat and Jer did a good job of putting them in an order that kept them exciting, they kept getting bigger and bigger as it got darker and darker.

Watching and getting sleepy...

These were our last two fireworks, our grand finale if you will. The video does not due them justice, they were pretty neat. The one actually had these colored "balls" that were shooting out of it. The last one was about as wide as the driveway!

The kids went to bed very well
with high hopes that it would not rain
so we could continue with our 4th of July plans....
