Adventure #2

We arrived home from camp at about 3:00pm we washed a couple loads of laundry, had a good nights sleep and then we got packed up and were back in the car by 9:00am headed to northern Mn. We have friends who have about 300 acres so we went up to visit with them as well as shoot guns and bows and all that kind of fun stuff. They have targets set up right off their patio for the bow and arrow, so it is really easy to shoot for a while and take a break and start again. Jeremy and Michael had a blast shooting! They are both pretty good, if I do say so myself.

Because it was not as hot up there as it has been at home, we were able to sleep out in their pop-up camper. The kids slept very well after playing hard all day. I think I would really like to have a pop-up some day, we seem to fit very well and it would be very easy to take trips:-)

Michael has been DYING to go squirrel hunting. He and Jeremy have gone out a couple times in the past, but have not really seen anything nor has the opportunity been right.  Of course they had to give squirrel hunting another go, and not only did Michael get one squirrel, he got TWO in the same day!!! He was so proud and rightly so. The first one he shot, Jeremy didn't even see and Michael just saw it, pulled up and shot it. He got that one so well, there really wasn't anything to nicely take a picture of. On their second expedition of the day, he got another one as well as a perfect photo opportunity.

 We stayed for three days and had loads of fun and laughs.
